Torrid Technologies was founded in 1993 to create a 401(k) calculator for employees to use to figure out how much to save.  The first version was developed for the Mac and then in 1995 we released a Windows version.

Our founder Tim Turner invented the idea of internet calculators back in 1994.  He created the first online retirement calculator, social security estimator and risk profile tool, among others.

The WebCalcs software has been licensed by companies like TIAA-CREF, Pacific Life, Sun Life, The Hartford, Sentry Insurance, JANUS, Mutual of Omaha, Progressive Life, AXA, and many others.

The new Secure Act Suite of Calculators gives financial companies and their advisors valuable and accurate information about the RMD changes and stretch RMD changes.
